Question:
My boyfriend had one at his house and we tried it. Nothing. He said he’s used it many times since he was a kid, but nothing ever happened. He also said he even tried to contact Satan, but still nothing. I keep reading all these stories on the internet that people have had weird or bad things happen when they used them. Why won’t it work for us? Is it because you’re supposed to go to a place that’s actually haunted?
Anyone on here have weird/bad experiences with an Ouija board?
Well; according to people who deal with exorcism and demons, who will tell for absolute, Ouija CAN be a portal for demons and possession.
Of course, not everyone will encounter problems BUT for those who have, the “nightmare” can persist for years. I’ll give a word of warning: Once you become influenced or possessed by demonic forces, you will have an experience which will be with you for the remainder of your natural life. This is very serious stuff – no to be taken as mere myth – it’s REAL . If you find that you are being “bothered” by outside forces then, I will advise you to get your butt down as fast as you can, to see a priest, Pastor etc, who will know what to do ! This is NO joke ! Once the entity comes, there is no way it is going to turn away unless a professional, who is well versed in demons and exorcism removes it or them (you can be possessed with many demons at one time).
It’s not even superstition… someone else asked a question about a Ouija board last week i here and one of the answers was really good…. try looking it up. It has something to do with a mental suggestion or something…I can’t remember exactly.
EDIT: found it on wikipedia…
Users subconsciously direct the path of the triangle to produce a word that is in that person’s subconscious thought process. This subconscious behavior is known as ideomotor action, a term coined by William Carpenter in 1882. It is also known as automatism.[6] Some people may be convinced that the “powers” of the ouija board are real because they are unaware that they are in fact moving the piece and therefore assume that the piece must be moving due to some other “spiritual force”. The subconscious thought process may produce an answer that is different from what the user expected in their conscious thought process—thus perpetuating the idea that the board has “mystical powers”. The Penn & Teller: Bullshit! episode on Ouija Boards ran an experiment using unbiased participants. Questions were being asked to the late William Frawley with very strong answers. The participants were then blindfolded and the board was turned 180 degrees without their knowledge. With continued questioning, the planchette then traveled to bare areas of the board where the participants believed the “Yes” and “No” marks were located.
They work in a sense. Ideomotor Effect. That’s what’s behind every “working” Ouija board that isn’t due to deliberate manipulation.
Superstition and nothing else.
No. If anyone tells you otherwise, ask them to wear a blindfold. An Ouija board is basically a piece of scrap wood with letters and kids spelling the words they want.
Ouiji boards are mass produced by Hasbro. Enough said.
