do Ouija boards just do there thing without guidance from the humans?

Question:
im making a movie that uses a Ouija board in one of the scenes and one of my actresses quit because she knew someone who died after using one. i do not intend to actually contact a spirit in the making of this film, but can a spirit contact threw the Ouija board even if we are just pretending to use it?
Its just a game. It most likely won’t do anything even if you pretend to play with it. And if something DOES happen (which is unlikely), at least you will have it on camera and it might enhance your movie.
It did with me but, I personally don’t know of any other person it has. I gave up being near one at a very young age because all one will do in my presence is say NO. As the last time it did it, I had just walked into the room and was no closer than 10 feet to it, neither was anyone else touching it, when it moved, I pretty much stay away from them now.
The idea of the Ouiji board, contrary to who makes them now, has been used to contact spirits since ancient times. The Spiritualists started using it when they sprung up. Parker Bros is just the most recent maker of the boards.
Historically speaking, many movies have used them and got away without the boards moving on their own. Ask your cast if any of them are psychic. Plus, if you do move them yourself, the boards become just a prop. You have to empty your mind and let the boards do the thinking to make them work.
Really, ,ouija boards do NOT NOT NOT leap around the room. Such an incident took place in a film some years ago, and people have been nattering about it ever since. The point in the film was to solve the director’s dilemma in how to show the ouija board was “haunted,” and that was the best way he could think of. So…anyway, your board is NOT going to jump around. Of course if you want it to for the sake of your film, a bit of thread or wire might just possibly do the job. Good luck with the film.!
